Wild Game Hash

Youll need:

500 g game meat (moose or deer)

800 g firm potatoes

200 g carrot (2 pcs)

2 yellow onions

Butter and oil for frying

Salt, black pepper

Worcestershiresauce

100 ml cream

Extras:

Serve with fried eggs and preferably pickled beetroot.

Instructions:

  • Dice the potatoes, carrots, and meat into approximately 1x1 cm cubes. Chop the onion. Pack them in separate jars to take outside.
  • Heat a generous amount of butter on the griddle and fry the raw potatoes and carrots until they start to soften. Stir frequently with a spatula to prevent burning.
  • Add the onion and meat, searing them until they have a nice color.
  • Season to taste and add Worcestershire sauce as desired.
  • Finally, pour in the cream and let it simmer and reduce until thickened.
